Ubuntu - "I am what I am because of who we all are"

"One of the sayings in our country is Ubuntu – the essence of being human. Ubuntu speaks particularly about the fact that you can’t exist as a human being in isolation. It speaks about our interconnectedness. You can’t be human all by yourself, and when you have this quality – Ubuntu – you are known for your generosity. We think of ourselves far too frequently as just individuals, separated from one another, whereas you are connected and what you do affects the whole World. When you do well, it spreads out; it is for the whole of humanity." - Desmond Tutu

Environmental sustainability and awareness

We are committed to sourcing our wild harvested ingredients from reputable and sustainable sources. We believe that working closely with local rural communities contributes to sustainable development and a sustainable future. By working together with many small producers in South Africa, we are supporting local enterprises and helping them invest in the preservation of their lands for generations to follow and enjoy.

Giving back to nature

Sometimes there is so much more to beauty than what you can see. Real beauty goes beyond even what you can touch or feel. When we look at Africa we see so many people growing into their future, working their land and planting today what their children will harvest with generations to come.

Shown in this photo is one of our initiatives of replanting infant Baobab Tree seedlings back into the wild after they have been nursed by local villagers to ensure they are established plants and strong enough to survive on their own.
